At Auto Haven, we’re thrilled to share our role in the journey of the 2024 HOT ROD OF THE YEAR, presented by TANKS Inc. This isn’t just any car—it’s the epitome of raw power, authentic style, and street-driven attitude. Working on a ride with this much history and grit was nothing short of an honor.
What Makes a HOT ROD OF THE YEAR?
To even qualify for this prestigious title, hot rods through 1948 vintage must meet some tough criteria:
No Trailer Queens: These rides are built to be driven, not just admired from afar. Every contender racks up at least 500 miles before showing up.
Pure Attitude: A winner isn’t just about looks—it’s about sound, feel, and presence. The car has to scream, “Hot Rod!”
This year's winning rod didn’t just meet the criteria—it redefined them. And we were privileged to get it ready for the big stage.

Our team at Auto Haven took this hot rod through an extensive show prep process to ensure it looked its absolute best from every angle. Here's what we tackled:
Top to Bottom Detailing: The car’s stunning finish was enhanced with meticulous care, ensuring every curve shined with show-stopping brilliance.
Engine Bay Perfection: A car like this demands an engine bay as awe-inspiring as its exterior. We cleaned, polished, and perfected every detail to highlight the raw power beneath the hood.
Undercarriage Excellence: While some might overlook the undercarriage, we know true enthusiasts check every inch. We made sure the underside of this rod looked as pristine as its top.
